We were pub quizzin’ for the first time this week at The Owl & Pussycat on Redchurch Street in Shoreditch!
And boy oh boy was it a swelteringly hot day! This lead to a mass of drinkers flooding the pub’s patio and even out onto the street to enjoy the sunshine that us Brits aren’t really used to…
A rare opportunity to soak up the sun on a lovely day for most seemed an opportunity too out of the ordinary to pass up.
Despite this very enticing sign to ‘get some quiz on your face…’
Nonetheless Quizmaster Sam rallied the troops and hey presto! We had four teams engaged in our pub quiz shenanigans…
As our quiz begun, teams sought a grand opportunity to compete for the appetising bar tabs on offer, as well as the sexy deal of four Red Stripe’s for just a tenner…
And as the night rolled on, things got heated as we finished up with a bonus round of music clips, especially when we finished with Marvin Gaye’s ‘Sexual Healing.’
And at last teams submitted their sheets and we had our winners!
Winning a £30 bar tab for first place was Too quizzy to clean my act up… The team of four were stunned to come first, you’re smart than you think guys!
Our runners up on the evening was Quiz on my face, who finished with a solid 38 points. They won a £20 bar tab for their efforts…
Finally, as decided by the audience our Best Team Name accolade went to Name Day. They were rewarded with a £10 bar tab.
